A while ago, two businessmen traveled to a new area to look for business opportunities, in particularly selling shoes. They did not travel together, nor did they know each other but they arrived in the area about the same time. Individually, they started analysing the market opportunities by looking at the demographic, the needs of the people, the culture, etc.
After a couple of weeks, they both sent an email back to report their findings. One wrote back: “Here the situation is terrible. These people do not wear shoes. Do not send any merchandise.”
The other one wrote: “Here the situation is amazing! These people have no shoes to wear. Please send double merchandise.”
What kind of a businessmen are you? Are you looking for opportunities? Does it mean that just because we don’t see opportunities, opportunities don’t exist? do you keep on missing opportunities? My advise: train yourself and just like with any training, the more you practice the better you get. Look for opportunities to be happier, to develop, to challenge yourself, to help others, to do and become better than yesterday.
“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil”. Ephesians 5:15-16
