Recently, Martha turned 60!

What a blessing and an incredible milestone to celebrate. Instead of the usual birthday festivities, Martha chose to mark this special occasion in a way that reflects her lifelong passion for helping others. She gathered her dearest friends and family, those who have impacted her life profoundly, and invited them to join her in supporting a cause close to her heart: the Timor-Leste project.

Martha’s unique birthday wish was for donations to be made towards the completion of a new community building in Timor-Leste, rather than receiving personal gifts. The response was heart-warming, and together we raised an impressive $4,400 that night. To our delight, one donor matched this amount, doubling our efforts and bringing us closer to our goal.

This project aims to build a community hall that will house an arriving missionary family and provide an educational space and a radio station for the local community in Gleno. Volunteers from Australia will join us in August 2024 for a Fly-And-Build event to complete the building.
